  • Enrique Mendoza La Tremenda Monstrell

  • The name "La Tremenda" references the name of the vineyard from which the grapes for this wine are grown and hand harvested. Made entirely from Monastrell from 35 - 45 year old vines in the harsh, arid landscape of Alicante, Spain means this wine will make you stand up and notice. "The vines must suffer..." and here it does.  The result is a bright ruby-red color, with expressive notes of fresh black cherries and red berries mingled with hints of sweet spice, toast and cocoa. On the palate, it shows silky texture, liveliness and a long finish.  Pair this with pork chops, your favorite ribeye, or parmesan-crusted asparagus tips.
