  • This, folks, is Minervois.  Minervois means hot, dry, gnarly old vines, wild herbs growing on the hillsides, and great wine at a great price.  That’s all in this bottle.  Plums and blackberries are the fruit (solid and soft at the same time), married to savory flavors of bacon fat, pepper, and garrigue, resting gently on a brambly tannin.  With every sip it gets better, fuller, deeper. A perfect glass on a frosty evening.  At this price, it’s a great pizza/burger wine, but at this quality, it won’t shame a steak, either.
