  • Of the ten crus of Beaujolais, Morgon is known perhaps for being more complex than the others and the fullest in body.  Here from the distinguished Lieu-dit of ‘Grand Cras’ (known for its alluvial soil and 1000-foot elevation), this is a gamay that offers excellent notes of bright fruit, licorice, and boysenberry; along with chalky minerality and assertive tannins on a palate that finishes with a lovely length.  Enjoy this with roast chicken, turkey, or even on its own!
