It’s alluring, all right, the bottle so curvy, the pink so pretty, the chateau so old (1652). But appearances may deceive, and age may mean senility: how can you tell? Well, we say so – take the plunge. You’ll find yourself in a rosé so delicious you’ll have to get a second bottle. A delicate nose of rose petals and red fruit draws you into the heart of the glass, where strawberries, raspberries, roses, and cherries welcome you. Weighter than many Provençal pinks, the finishing touch of savory tannin makes it a perfect shrimp or lobster wine, or have it with sunset on the balcony.
