Plush white wines are lush, full-bodied, and rich in both texture and flavor. Stone fruits like peach, and honeydew dominate, along with hints of cinnamon, caramel and butter. Best slightly chilled.

Food Pairing and Preparation: Spicy Asian cuisines, sausages and cured meats. Turkey. Rich seafood like lobster and scallops. Creamy and pungent cheeses. Classic Thanksgiving preparations that include nuts, pumpkin, squash, and sweet potatoes along with aromatic spice, butter, and cream ingredients blend beautifully with these wines.

  • Königschaffhausen Grauburgunder

  • Pinot Grigio, Pinot Gris, and now Grauer Burgunder…they’re all the same thing!  Pinot Gris is a great and versatile grape, and here’s a wine that certainly proves that!  Made by a German Co-op it’s complex and mineral driven from volcanic soils.  It has a fresh fruit nose with just a hint of daisies and a sumptuous round palate.  Aged in stainless steel (not oak) this wine is dry and delicious and just the sort of interesting alternative we like to offer here at Pour!  Wonderful with seafood salads, cream sauces, and soft cheeses.

    Variety: Grauer Burgunder (Pinot Gris)

    Region: Baden, Germany

    Vintage: 2016
