  • Here is a find!  Just south of Madrid, La Mancha (or “parched earth”) has long been known for its white wines, but now, with more plantings of tempranillo (the country’s premier black grape) and other international varieties, more and more, quality at excellent value has been coming from what is Spain’s largest DO.  Pretty with dark fruit , plum, and vanilla (it spends 10 months in used American oak), this wine is delicious with silky tannins and a smidgen of Spanish spice.  Have it with tacos, pizza, or any casual fair!
