Did you know that “Picpoul” in the local dialect means “lip stinger”? Want to guess why? You got it – that lovely streak of acidity will make your mouth water. Fresh aromas of green apple, pineapple, and florals swing together and dance on the palate, while the balance of fresh acidity, fruit, and minerality makes it all come together quite nicely. Sometimes referred to as the Muscadet of the south, the Picpoul pairs perfectly with fresh oysters, shellfish, or a green salad drizzled with a citrus dressing.
