The northern-most of the important southern Rhône appellations, Gigondas covers a series of rolling hills that produce a wine that is both strong and appealing.  Drinking it is like receiving a firm handshake from a new neighbor.  From its deep, evocative nose, this aged red blend has delicate plum, lavender and subtle tobacco aromas with sincere strength and chewy textures on the palate.  It’s perfect with sausages, a hearty beef stew, or a Sunday roast!
