Snow, drought, heat waves, hail…the region of Saint-Estèphe was spared no extreme of weather during the 2011 vintage! But the grapes that emerged from such extreme struggle have aged beautifully and produced wines that are beautifully elegant and emblematic of their time. La Dame de Montrose shows expressive and concentrated aromas of raspberry, cherry and cedar. Aged 14 months in 50% new oak, the palate is powerful and racy, combining suppleness and tight tannins. Enjoy with braised beef or rack of lamb!
