Los Vecinos Mezcal is made by a co-op of 10 master mezcaleros in the Valles Centrales region of Oaxaca, Mexico. The mezcal is produced in small batches using time-honored methods and locally grown agave. The agave hearts are slow roasted underground for days, then crushed using a stone molino, naturally fermented in wooden vats, and double distilled using a copper pot still.
Made with Espadin agave. No additives. Notes on the nose are of pineapple and baked yellow fruits, and on the palate are spicy and tropical fruity upfront, with a vegetal and salty finish.
