Matthiasson Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Steve and Jill Klein Matthiasson have a clear goal. “To bring back the Napa Cab of yore, when it was vibrant and juicy, elegant and boisterous at the same time”. With their 2022 Cab, it definitely looks like they’ve achieved this! The nose is accented with red cherry, cranberry, and blackberry, framed by a layer of herbs and cedar. The palate is vibrant and fresh, with lots of age-worthy tannin and beautiful acidity. Though ready to drink now, it’s also a fantastic candidate for the cellar — and it absolutely rewards a good decant.
