For over 100 years, Beaujolais has celebrated the harvest by making a young, fresh, grapey wine that smacks of deliciously bright red fruit. Made from grapes picked just a couple of months ago, this is literally the region's "newest release", and it gives a hint of what other wines from Beaujolais will be like this year. (Think of it as an oenological equivalent to eating raw cookie dough! YUM!!) The perfect way to celebrate the bounty from the new harvest and to give thanks (especially when paired with those Thanksgiving turkey left-overs!).
