Chianti is a large area that stretches across Tuscany, but it’s only in the undulating hills that stretch between Florence to Sienna that Classico can be made. And the San Fabiano Calcinaia is a classic example! Pretty with violet and dried cherry flavors and a light touch of minerality and nutmeg, it’s balanced beautifully with excellent earth and fabulous fruit. This wine sings for spaghetti with red sauce, pecorino cheeses, and baked pastas like a luscious lasagna (meat or vegetarian).
