Toni Söllner is a small-scale producer of handcrafted wines in the hills of the Donauland, overlooking the Danube valley and the Alps, just to the east of the Kamptal. The vines grow on terraces of loess, mussel-chalk, and red gravel, amidst herbs, legumes, and wildflowers. Pretty picturesque, right? His Gemischter Satz is a field blend of aromatic varietals from a single vineyard. The grapes are aged on their lees, giving this wine a palate that is a beautiful fruity, and floral fusion. A perfect aperitif, it also pairs wonderfully with fish and poultry!
