To make Amarone, very ripe grapes are dried for months on bamboo mats and eventually become extremely concentrated (and raisinated) resulting in an opulent, full-bodied wine. No wonder its name means the big, bitter one! Beautiful aromas of wild cherry jam, raspberry, and mint mix with sumptuous spice notes of oak, licorice, and tobacco making this wine ideal with any type of slow cooked meat as well as a Sunday night roast or sitting by the fire after a delicious meal!
