Named after the Rio (river) Oja which runs through it, Rioja is known as the leading wine region in Spain. The area produces the country’s most distinguished and sought-after wines, especially the aged reds. The Usoa de Bagordi Gran Reserva spent 2 years aging in French oak and an additional 3 years aging in bottle before release. The result is a beautifully full and robust wine with easy tannins, and a lovely blend of forest berries, a touch of leather and a hint of chocolate. Try it with beef tenderloin, lamb chops or a hearty stew!
