Klaus Scheu took control of Weinhof Scheu from his father, Günter, who retired in 1994. Theirs is a Weinhof without borders, as it sits so close to Alsace in France that the vines nearly cross back and forth. Their beautiful Pinot Noir is made from grapes grown on 22-year-old vines in clay soils and aged for one year in oak barrels. The result is a Trocken (dry) wine with juicy notes of strawberries, blackberries, and cherries. Enjoy it with pan-seared duck breasts or sautéed mushrooms!
