Heavier than a Valpolicella and lighter than an Amarone, a Ripasso gives you the best of both worlds. Ordinary Valpolicella wine is “repassed” with the left-over skins of an Amarone, and the results are delicious—giving it additional structure, tannin, and alcohol. The Fabiano is wonderful with dark red fruit, appealing prune, and sumptuous spice. This is a baby Amarone for sure that fills your mouth with tasty tannins and succulent juice.
