We’re going to paint a pretty picture: Imagine the Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona estate, located on the rolling slopes south east of the municipality of Montalcino, with the Romanesque abbey of Sant’Antimo nestled in the background. Sounds nice, right? Now imagine the wine coming out of these vineyards! This traditional Tuscan red is made from mostly Sangiovese and shows aromas of tart cherry and hints of spice. The palate is dry with silky tannins and a long finish and it’s the perfect pair with salami, semi hard cheese and olives!
