In the book of Tobias, an ancient Hebrew text, Asmodeus is the demon of Lust. Of the many grape varietals found in Italy, nero d’avola is as lustful and pleasurable as it gets! Rich, peppery and opulent with 6 months in French oak and produced on 30 year old vines, it has many of the same characteristics as syrah and is the most important grape on the island of Sicily.
