Nestled between Gigondas to the north and Chateauneuf-du-Pape to the south, Vacqueyras is a place much loved and treasure by red Rhone drinkers. Rich in Grenache, this wine has ample red fruit and notes of chocolate, tobacco, and spice—though it maintains freshness by having never touched oak. The palate is concentrated with a round body, good acidity, and beautiful blackberry. It’s perfect for a Sunday roast or almost any meat that’s been braised.
